Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport by our friendly Nesh Tours & Safaris representative and driver-guide. After a short briefing, depart for the Maasai Mara National Reserve, passing through the scenic Great Rift Valley with a brief photo stop at the viewpoint. Continue your journey across the rolling plains of Narok County, arriving at Simba Lodge Maasai Mara in time for lunch. After check-in and some rest, head out for your first afternoon game drive in the reserve. Keep your eyes peeled for lions lounging in the grass, elephants grazing in the distance, and cheetahs scanning the savannah. Rise early for a full day of adventure in the Maasai Mara, Kenya’s most famous reserve. Start your day with an optional early morning balloon safari—a breathtaking flight over the Maasai Mara at sunrise. Enjoy stunning aerial views of wildlife and landscapes, followed by a champagne bush breakfast in the wild (booked in advance). If you skip the balloon ride, you can opt for a sunrise game drive or a relaxed morning at the lodge with breakfast. Later explore a full day of game drives across the vast plains of the Maasai Mara. Explore the reserve’s diverse habitats — from open savannahs and riverine forests to rolling hills — where wildlife abounds at every turn. You may encounter herds of elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and gazelles, as well as the park’s top predators: lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas. A picnic lunch will be served in the wild beneath an acacia tree, offering you a true safari experience. In the afternoon, continue your exploration on an optional Maasai Village Visit and get to immerse yourself in the culture and traditions of the Maasai people, learning about their daily life, dances, and heritage (optional, payable directly).
